About
George Earwicker

George Earwicker is a writer-director based in Dorset, England. He is drawn to reimagining genres and making films that explore the complexity of morality, power structures and interpersonal relationships.
He taught himself the practicals of filmmaking by making one feature length home movie a year with no budget and a crew of family and friends since he was 15.
He is passionate about cinema in all ways – making films, watching films, reading criticism and theory, learning the history.
Jacob Mellers

Jacob has always performed. As a boy growing up in Derbyshire’s Amber Valley, his voracious appetite for play and exploration had him chasing cows and climbing smoke stacks on the rolling hills. He channelled his energy into community theatre groups which gave him the tools he needed to begin his creative journey.
Jacob is a live wire in everything he does. He gives all of himself to each gig he picks up, and is a font of electric creativity. His friends are his inspiration, and he derives a feeling of invincibility and security from them which empowers each of his performances with The Sandbagos.
Lewis Lenk

A close collaborator to George Earwicker and Jacob Mellers, Lewis Lenk is fascinated by the relationship between sound and image. His interests however don’t end on location, but rather extend into the edit suite where he manages the sound design and score for the film. Taking control at every step of the sonic process, Lewis sees through a Sandbagos production from start to finish.
Lewis is currently based in Berlin, but his connection to the south west runs deep. Having studied with George and Jacob at Falmouth University, The Sandbagos are like a second family.
Frances Robson

Born and raised in Italy, Frances spent her summers in Dorset growing up, collaborating with a small crew of friends and family to produce films for over a decade.
Frances discovered a keen interest in production design in 2021 during her Film Production BA, as a result she went on to design and construct multiple sets at the university for her peers’ projects and for open days, showcasing the university’s facilities and talent.
Since graduating in summer 2023, Frances has found freelance work building scenery for theatre shows and (most recently) model sets for an animated feature
