‘It’s Always the End of the World’ is a romance-thriller that follows Max and Charlotte as they take a trip to a cabin once owned by Charlotte’s now deceased uncle. Max is wrestling with the death of his father, as Charlotte struggles with one year of sobriety.
.

.
Buried in the bushes outside of the cabin, Max finds an old trunk stuffed with documents, audio cassettes and VHS tapes related to crimes committed in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The trunk’s contents point towards a half century of murder, secrets and abuse – Max slowly becomes obsessed as he grows closer and closer to learning the truth about the mystery, Britain’s past and the nature of life itself.
.

.
Inspired by Britain’s dark history and the work of Ingmar Bergman, ‘It’s Always the End of the World’ is both a chamber piece romance and a locked room mystery about love, despair and how the only way to defeat the evils of the past is to hope for a better future.

‘It’s Always the End of the World’ represents the next step in our artistic career. It is our transition from impeccably executed short films to low budget feature film making. We have a fierce desire to break into the independent film circuit, but a strong commitment to our artistic integrity: donating to this film would allow us to achieve both. We have an amazing film here – one we all think can go far – we just need your help to fire the starting gun.
Donating to this project would allow us to tell an important story about the nature of our country today – how it has always preyed and enriched itself on the blood of the weak – and, on a wider scale, how it is possible to find hope even in the bleakest of circumstances. It is a way for us to address the pain and love we feel in every day life and build on our successful track record of independent films that ‘aim for the heart’ (Movie Marker) and confront audiences with the deepest recesses of human feeling.
